On The Eve.
Well we are up for the Shooting to began in the American Civil War. We are now up to April 1861.
But before we get into Open Warfare in America, lets look back to how we got to this point. From 1501 up to April 1861 Greed, Money and Power drove America. There was a great demand in Europe for cotton, Sugar, and indigo for dye. Black Slaves were introduce to America around 1520. At first Blacks worked alongside White Indentured Servant. But by 1660 the economy Started getting better in England. So White Servant stop coming to America. The White Plantation owner needed Labor lots of Labor. At first they turned to the American Indian, White Owners had problems with the Indian, the Indian did not take to field Labor and since they knew the land they could just run away. So the Owner turn to the Black African Slave. The African Slave was easy to identify because of skin color, and plus the African Slave did not know the land, and had a hard time running away
By 1660 the American Colonies enacted White Supremacy Laws, making Slavery in the American Colonies Permanent. With the Black Slave during all the Labor the White planter/Politician became quite wealthy. It was boom time in the Colonies. The demand for American goods in Europe was overwhelming. From the 1660 up until 1760 life was good, a lot of money came into the colonies. However by 1760 things began to Change in the Colonies England wanted more Taxes from the Colonies, and the Colonies began to grumble
Taxation without representation was not setting well in the Colonies. In 1774 and act happen in England that made the American Colonies quite uncomfortable. A Black Slave sued for his freedom in English Court and won. This open up a avenue for the Black Slave to gain his freedom in a English Court. And since the American Colonies were govern by English Law you can see how this proceeding made the Colonies quite nervous. With higher Taxes being imposed on the Colonies, and the thought that A slave could sue for his or her freedom, became unbearable for the White Planter/Politician. So after 1774 the talk of breaking away from England grew louder. By 1775 open rebellion started against England. England sent solders to quell the rebellion, this made it worst there were no turning back, the American Colonies wanted Freedom from England.
In the summer of 1776 Planter/Politicians met in Philadelphia to write the Constitution Some of the wording that was put in the Constitution was that the importation of the African Slave would continue for another 20 years.
Words were put into the Constitution like all men are created equal, and Men were born with enabling rights
The majority of the men in that room that summer were Slave Owners, and a lot of them were having sex with there Black Slave Women. The Constitution that we live by today was written By Slave Owners.
England was not fully prepared to fight a war with the American Colonies, so the word went out from English General Lord Dunsmore to all Slaves in the American Colonies join the fight against the Americans and you will be freed. The response was overwhelming South Carolina lost 34% of there Slaves. Other Plantations had to hire arm guards to keep the Slaves working. In the American Revolution The Black Slave Fought on Both sides. A lot of Slaves were Freed during the American Revolution, A great many follow the English To Canada along with American Loyalest After the war things started changing in America All Northern States Freed there Slaves By 1795 Slavery was dying out on the East Cost, however in 1797 the Cotton Gin was invented and there was a great demand for Slaves in Southern States. Whites in Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida and the Carolina's , had Cleared all the land of Indians Killing, Raping, are
shipping Them west. And the Indians tried so hard to be like the White Man. They even own Slaves.
But the Whites only wanted there land, and Sex from there Women. By 1810 the demand for slave Labor was so great that free blacks were being kidnap off of Northern Streets. By 1830 President Andrew Jackson came into office to Solve the Indian problem east of the Mississippi River. Indians were rounded up and sent on the trail of tears to the Oklahoma Territory. Those who fought back were killed.
By 1840 Slavery was a way of life in America, And the city of New Orleans was a major hub in the Slave trade. Throughout the 1840s up until 1860 if you were against Slavery you were considered radical
1850 Compromise started America down the path to civil war. The Compromise stated that
Texas give up the Arizona and New Mexico Territory, and be admitted as a Slave State Maine was brought in as a free State. One provision that upset a lot of people was the writing in of the Fugitive Slave Act. Which Stated that any one could be Prosecuted if they harbored any Slaves
In pass Blogs I have spoke on The Kansas-Nebraska Act . and Senator Stephen A Douglas and John Brown These two men because of there action sent America into civil war. Well that's it.
We have now come to open warfare in America.
