As we began the new year we find President Lincoln Pressing General George McClellan to move his troops into the South. And US Navy Ships were starting to tighten there grip on the Southern east cost. the anaconda plan was beginning to work. Freedom was breaking out all up and down the east cost for the Black Slaves. East cost Southern farmers were burning there cotton crops in fear of them falling in the hands of Union Troops. The first real turning of the civil war in favor of the North happen on January 30. 1862 , when England decided to stay out of the war. And not come in on the side of the South. This was Major because the South was really looking forward to having England on there side.
Well now that the North did not have to worry about England joining the fight on the side of the South. the Union could now turn full attention toward defeating the South. Well in the next few months three Battles one major one started the South on the road to defeat and to the end of Slavery.
