The Slave Owner.

The death rate among slaves were high, prolong breast feeding was inhibting reproduction. So the Slave owner encouraged slaves to have more children. Child bearing for female slaves started around 13yo, and by age 20 they had 4-5 children. Some slave owners promised slave women that if they had 15 children they could have there freedom. The mindset of one slave owner from virginia boast that his successful breeding policies enable him to sell 6000 slave children a year. Some slave owners fathered there own slave children. A slave women  could never be true to her husband, she had no right to her own body. As we live in America today we can see where the disrespect, and the hatered of a group of people came from. It came from American Slavery. 1502-1865.
