The 1860 Presidential Election.

Well this Presidential Election sent America right into Civil War. this had been building for some time, and now at that time. Slavery had just become to heavy for America.This war split America half into. Brother against Brother, Father against Son, North against South, Church against Church. The Democratic Party split North and south.

The Republican Party was formed in 1854, made up  of Whigs, Democratic, and Free-Soiler The Republican Party was against the expansion of Slavery into new open territory. America had been divided on Slavery expansion, and the rights of Slave owners since 1850 And now going into the fall election of 1860 the word Secession was now spoke open and freely The 1860 election would turn America in a new direction. America was about to fight its second war in 72 years on the issue of Slavery.

In 1860 there were 4 million Black Slaves in America The ratio of free to EnSlaves were 7 /1  With a Slave population that large you can see why the Civil War lasted so long, and White Supremacy thanking has lasted up until today.                 

Mound Bayou MS.

Mound Bayou is a City deep in American History. And we as Black Americans need to take care of our own.

This city was founded by Ex-Slaves. I would ask you to read about, and visit this American Black city.
